Castle Trail

Step back in time through the last
millennium of our country's heritage on
Scotland's only Castle Trail. A selection of
eleven of the world's most unique scottish
castles ranging from the fairy tale magic of
Craigievar, to the rugged splendour of
Kildrummy Castle ruins, to the elegant
timelessness of the country house grandeur
of Leith Hall. (Corgarff castle is nearby
and starts you on the trail)

Fishing

The Glenlivet Estate provides superb fly
fishing on the river Avon, a major tributary
of the Spey. The Avon is renowned for the
quality of the salmon and trout fishing that
can be enjoyed along it's reaches. Fishing
permits for brown trout and sea trout are
available locally.

Golf

Golfing enthusiasts will find a selection
of challenging and scenically stunning
courses nearby, many of which were designed
by some of the best known names in the
sport. There are golf courses at
Ballindalloch, Dufftown, Grantown on Spey
and Nethy Bridge.

The Glenlivet Smugglers’ Trails

In August 2007 The Crown Estate and the
Glenlivet Distillery in Speyside launched
three historic walks in the beautiful
surroundings of the Glenlivet valley to give
visitors a flavour of its illicit whisky
smuggling past.
