Aviemore is one of the largest towns in the
Cairngorm National Park, with a population of 2,397.
Nestling in the shadow of the Cairngorm Mountains
and gateway to the National Park, this renowned all

Boat of Garten, a peaceful Highland village,
is set amongst heather clad hills and native
woodland. Abundant wildlife, magnificent

Ideally located... Lying adjacent to the mighty
River Spey in the Cairngorms National Park, Boat
of Garten lies in an area of outstanding natural
beauty, centrally located in the Highlands of

Situated in the heart of the Scottish
Highlands Grantown is the ideal location for a
holiday. The area offers fishing on the River
Spey, walking in the surrounding hills and
woodland, golfing on many courses in the area,

Kingussie is the traditional capital of
Badenoch, the area of the upper Spey Valley in
the Heart of the Scottish Highlands.
The pleasant village of Nethy Bridge is a
quiet alternative skiing base to Aviemore. In
the centre of the Cairngorms National park and
sitting on the border of the old Caledonian
forest, Nethy is a picturesque village in the
Spey Valley offering golf and various outdoor
activities including horse riding and beautiful
walks through the forests, where you may chance
upon some of the rarest wildlife in Scotland.
Newtonmore - In the Heart of the Highlands,
at the southern gateway to the Cairngorms
National Park and a central location for the hit
Television series 'Monarch of the Glen' - An
ideal touring base - quiet, friendly, yet close
to all the facilities of Aviemore.
Tomintoul nestles at a height of 354m or
1160ft on the northern slopes of the Cairngorm
Mountains, and lays claim to the title of the
highest village in the Highlands. Travel south
west from here and you encounter nothing more
developed than the odd track for nearly 40
miles: and meantime you will have crossed the
highest mountains in the Cairngorms. Tomintoul
is the closest settlement and the most
convenient place to stay when skiing at the
Lecht and this has helped transform the village
into a year round centre.
